The step that makes the scrub worth doing.

Exfoliating clears the way. What happens in the next three minutes decides whether skin stays soft or goes tight by evening.

The experience

A dry oil, which means it sinks in rather than sitting on top. Two or three pumps cover a whole leg. It absorbs fast enough to dress straight after — no waiting around in a towel, no marks on your sheets. Skin ends up looking lit rather than shiny.

What's in it, and why

  • Jojoba oil — structurally close to the skin's own sebum, which is why it absorbs so cleanly
  • Squalane — lightweight, stable, and one of the few oils that suits almost every skin type
  • Sweet almond oil — for slip and softness
  • Vitamin E — an antioxidant that also keeps the blend fresh

How to use

Warm two or three pumps between your palms and press into damp skin straight out of the shower — damp skin is the whole trick, because the oil seals the water in rather than replacing it. Use daily.

Where it fits

The last step of the ritual, on scrub days and in between. It also doubles as the pre-step for removing fake tan with the Exfoliating Body Mitt.

Designed to help skin feel soft, comfortable and look radiant. Results vary. Patch test if you have nut sensitivities — this blend contains sweet almond oil.

FAQ

What is a dry oil, and how is it different from a body oil?
“Dry oil” describes how it behaves, not what's in it. These blends use lighter, fast-absorbing oils like jojoba and squalane, so they sink in quickly rather than sitting on the surface.

Body oil or body lotion — which is better?
Lotion contains water and hydrates; oil seals moisture in. On damp skin, oil generally outperforms lotion for lasting softness. Many people use both.

Should you use body oil on wet or dry skin?
Damp. Straight out of the shower, before you've fully towelled off. On bone-dry skin there's less moisture for it to hold onto.

Will body oil clog pores?
Jojoba and squalane are both rated low for pore-clogging, which is why they suit body areas prone to congestion. Heavier oils like coconut are a different story.

Can you use body oil on your face?
These ingredients are face-friendly, but this is formulated for body. If you want it on your face, patch test first.

Does body oil help with stretch marks or scars?
It can improve how skin looks and feels by keeping it well moisturised. No oil removes stretch marks — anything promising that is overpromising.

Will it stain sheets?
A dry oil absorbs within a couple of minutes. Give it that long before you get into bed and it won't.

Can you use it before hair removal?
Not immediately before shaving — oil on the blade reduces its glide. Use it after, once skin has calmed.
